Chess is growing across the Treasure Coast, and students will have an opportunity to bring that excitement from the chessboard to their schools at the Annual Treasure Coast Chess Competition.
Hosted by Atlantis Chess Club, the competition brings together elementary, middle, and high school students for a day of chess, school pride, sportsmanship, and friendly competition.

Your Child Could Represent Their School
One of the goals of the Annual Treasure Coast Chess Competition is to give more young people an opportunity to experience school-based chess competition.
Students do not have to be Atlantis Chess Club members to participate. Eligible elementary, middle, and high school students can have the opportunity to represent their school and compete alongside other students from throughout the Treasure Coast.
For some students, this may be their first chess competition. For others, it will be another opportunity to test their skills and continue developing as players.
Both belong at the chessboard.
More Than Winning
Competition gives students a chance to put important chess skills into practice.
They must manage their time, remain focused, plan ahead, recover from mistakes, respect their opponents, and make decisions independently.
A trophy may recognize the outcome of a competition, but the experience students gain while preparing, competing, and representing their school can be just as meaningful.
Growing School Chess Across the Treasure Coast
Atlantis Chess Club is working to expand opportunities for young people to learn and compete in chess throughout Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, and the Treasure Coast.
Our work has already included partnerships and community support involving St. Lucie County and the City of Port St. Lucie, helping introduce more young people to organized chess opportunities.
The Annual Treasure Coast Chess Competition is another step toward bringing students, schools, families, and communities together around the game.

Families interested in having their child participate can register through the Atlantis Chess Club website.
There is no registration fee for the Annual Treasure Coast Chess Competition.
